Story
Kate Mason has devoted herself to caring for her family’s blueberry barrens. But after her fields stop producing fruit, she’s forced to come up with alternative ways to make a living. Renting out the small cottage on her property seems an obvious choice, but it won’t be enough. When entrepreneur Drake Newham shows up looking not only for a place to rent but also for a nanny for his two nieces, it’s almost too good to be true. And maybe it is -- because Drake brings with him dangerous questions about who might be out to kill his family. The more time Kate spends with Drake and the girls, the more difficult it becomes to hide her attraction to him. But a family crisis isn’t exactly the ideal time to pursue a romance. Meanwhile, Kate learns that her uncle -- in prison for murder -- has escaped. Add to that a local stalker who won’t leave her alone, and Kate is looking over her shoulder at every turn. With threats swirling from multiple directions, she wonders if her blueberry fields will ever flourish again . . . or if this twilight is her last.

Favorite characters are back
The characters from Rock harbor are back. This time “Into the Deep” takes on the evil of dog fighting. I normally don’t like books about dog fighting, however this book didn’t dwell on the evil. Instead it’s more about murder mystery and romance. And of course Christianity and forgiveness.

Irritated with ALL Authors
IRRITATED WITH ALL AUTHORS MAKING PEOPLE OUT TO BE MINDLESS IDIOTS! So many of these books irritate me to no end! The author always make people out to be such idiots! For example... 1. someone is trying to steal Brie's dog... he even tranquilized him once, yet Brie doesn't take any precautions & then she's surprised that the dog ends up getting stolen... duh! 2. Laurie is wanting someone to adopt her baby. Who does she ask? The woman who is newly married, has two new step children, whose *itch of a mother returns to town after having abandoned them, & turns their life upside down. Laurie gets mad cause they've ruined everything for her. Yet everyone in town knows Hillary was pregnant & was on bed rest because they were worried & figured she would lose it. Even after she loses the baby everyone is still clueless & no one thinks to ask Hillary & her husband if they would like to adopt Laurie's baby. 3. No one in her books ever has their phone with them or has it charged when they need it. 4. No one ever takes precautions, especially when they're being stalked or even when they've been shot at. The author makes them out to be mindless idiots, even the 'so called police & rangers'! And finally 4. I'm sorry, but all the mumbo jumbo about everyone always stopping what they're doing & praying to god for answers is not how I've ever seen anyone act in real life. I guess the reason the author has them always asking their god for answers is because she's made them too stupid to think for themselves!

Who Is behind everything going on in Rock Harbor?
A tight knit community in the Upper Peninsula
Accept newcomers at face value. But when a beloved search and rescue dog, Samson is in the middle of a mystery and murders to newcomers happen. Another great addition to the series by Colleen Coble, read by Devon Oday.
