Read this when it came out and was enamoured with its terse honesty and it’s simplicity of style but don’t feel the tale has aged well. It seems a little rambling and the very fact of the authors profound self interest doesn’t account for his actions. Someone it’s not right. Wonder how Hanif feels about it now.
