I enjoyed this book and thought the narration was solid. It definitely sits firmly in the YA field, with more focus on an abstract Cinderella retelling than on steam or action. For my taste it felt a little light in those areas, so I may not continue with book two, but I think readers who enjoy true YA fantasy will really like it.
