Story
Cold, fine drops of rain fall softly on Evie's cheeks as she emerges from the darkness of the ship's interior to the gray, overcast sky of the main deck. Pulling her dark peacoat tighter to her body, the wind lifts red tendrils of her hair. She walks slowly to the railing overlooking the water. She catches her first sight of the Irish coastline; its craggy landscape makes her shiver in dread. She finds it difficult to imagine now how the Gancanagh had made this their home for so long without anyone realizing it.

Story
Evie hangs her head in sorrow for just a moment when she knows she is truly alone. She feels like she's going to her execution, just as he had said. Then she moves forward again. She hops a fence of fieldstone and crosses a field dotted with Queen Anne's lace. Goose bumps rise on her arms as she passes the cluster of windmills that she's seen in a dream. The scent is sweet in the field though, not the scent of heat, like it had been when it was forced upon her in visions.

Publisher's Summary
I gasp as my body curls toward Brennus like a flower to the sun, for the pleasure of it. He holds me close to him. His nose grazes the length of my neck. He breathes me in. I feel the roar and rush of my heartbeat. I'm his toy; his energy streams into me. He winds the invisible key in my back, and the euphoria ratchets and coils inside of me.
Another wicked surge of energy flows from him into me. Pain. Pleasure. Bliss. My jaw unclenches as my lips part. I make a small, breathy sound as we dance. Brennus responds with something close to a growl. "Ye're killing me, mo chroí," he murmurs. His hand moves down my back, infusing me with a golden glow of power. My wings punch violently from me, tearing a hole in my day dress. They spread wide, like a red stain beyond my pale skin. I'm dancing now for the thrill of it. I follow his lead.

Favorite series ever
I have really loved reading all of the books in this series. I'm sad that this is the last book in the series, but it was just as good as the rest. For me, there was enough closure here to make me satisfied with the ending, but there is still enough of an opening if she wanted to write another book. If not, it leaves you with something to wonder about on your own, but not to the point where you feel like you don't have answers. Looking forward to whatever the author writes next! I haven't been able to find another series quite like this one.

the naration for the last book was horrible
it was the same person but for some reason it was like the person reading forgot the last 3 books. the guys where just yelling the whole time it really ruined it for me Reed always had a cool calm tone even in bad aiuarions and zepher was tactical and sharp never yelling it just changed it to much already that involved with the characters and then then just changing them that much
...almost could not finish it

Overdramatized voice ruined the whole thing
Never change a voice as beautiful as Emily Woo Zeller’s naturally angelic voice. That voice change was very disappointing and distracting

Not my favorite
I was a little disappointed with the wrap up (anyway everyone seems to think this is it) of a really great series. It seemed abrupt after all the hours spent listening to all the books (I listened to the first 4 again before I did Iniquity) I think I wanted more of a resolution If this is really the end, Brennus got a raw deal at the end after all he has changed. I guess a wanted for him to get someone too. And where is Molly?????
All in all though, this is a really great series. She left a lot hanging in the Cricket series too. I don't guess it all has to be cleaned up neatly Maybe we should be left with a few things to think about in the end

Great Book till the Ending!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes and no. I love the characters, love the story line, love the narrator. I was happy with the ending till the last few mints of the audio book. Why say it is the final book and then leave the ending open? Why not just write more chapters and give the readers the conclusion they deserve and have been waiting for? Very disappointing.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I honestly love all of the characters but I must say my favorite character has to be Reed. The loyalty he shows to his friends and to Evie throughout the whole series was unwavering. Hard to find that quality these days!
Have you listened to any of Emily Woo Zeller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not. I enjoyed her a lot though. Its amazing how she can do all the different voices. Really draws you in. I noticed a few differences in this last book with the characters voices but not enough to distract me from the story..
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I think it would be better as a TV series.
Any additional comments?
This is the second book series from this author that I have listened to(the Kricket Series, and The Premonition Series). I must say both series left me disappointed in the endings. When an author says it will be the last book in the series I expect it to be the last book and all the ends tied up for the reader. Both left me with questions and wanting more. I am not sure I will be reading this author again if this is how she ends all of her books.

loved it
The narrator was overdoing it a bit this time. the story had a nice, if not somewhat predictable conclusion. After finishing book 4 it does get a bit annoying that every man seems to fall in love with this girl.. and she falls a little in love with all of them. its kind of annoying. but I have read other books from the author with the same issue. still a great read!
