Personal brand vs. brand

Someone correct me please, I think this is not a book about building a personal brand as an influencer. I believe it’s more directed to actual brands with hints of influencing and passive income I’d love to hear other people’s opinion please as I might have confused the title or aim of this book.
The book talks about making product sales through sale funnels but an influencer is actually its own brand and product and doesn’t need to sell a product rather advertise for products they endorse through sponsorships.
Perhaps I’m confused about what an influencer is supposed to be and should have bought Influencers for Dummies ...
