One of the best audio books of this genre ever! What an imagination. Amazing plot & narration

Oh my gosh, what a ride! JP Pomare never disappoints! So many twists and turns. Just when you think you have it figured out, you realise you’ve gotten it all wrong! Again! Lol. Right up to the end.. So good! This story seems scarily possible, which is what makes it so good, I guess..

What a gripping, twisting story! Disturbing and challenging. Will there be a sequel? I certainly hope so. If not I'm looking forward to your next book JP Pomare!

This is definitely worth a read. I did pick the antagonists but it was chilling and had unexpected turns.

For me there was little to dislike, I enjoyed the characters and the narrator’s voice was perfect.

This is a disturbing book, quite unique in the way it flows between life within, and life outside, a very eerie cult. It's very well written and Norvill's narration is near perfect.
I feel that many of the things that I'd like to say about the book are spoilers. Suffice to say, listen to it if you are interested in the ripple effect of dire childhood experiences and charismatic leaders, and you enjoy a book full of nuanced suspense.

Omg! That was fantastic! All the twists. I was absolutely riveted! I didn’t realised it had some basis in truth. That was a pretty cool rabbit hole to go down lol. I had no idea Australia had their own cult who kidnapped children! How creepy!

Wow. I thought I knew what was going to happen but nope, kept me guessing and intrigued the whole time.
Great characters, although I do have to admit I couldn’t picture the clearing properly because I kept picturing Lake Eildon where it is believed “the family” lived.
Thoroughly enjoyed.

Read so well! This story grips you from the beginning. Whilst fictional it makes you wonder what could be going on around you, silently. Great listen!
