Sie soll ihren Mann nach einem heftigen Streit in ihrem einsam gelegenen Haus am Waldrand erstochen und dann Unterschlupf bei ihrer Schwester gesucht haben. Erst nach vier Wochen wurde die Bluttat entdeckt und die junge Frau verhört. Doch sie leugnet die Tat beharrlich.
Stahl soll Licht in das Dunkel bringen. Sagt Sandra Bischoff die Wahrheit oder ist sie eine gerissene Lügnerin? Er fährt mit ihr zu ihrem ehemaligen Haus, um den Fall neu aufzurollen. Schnell macht sich das Gefühl breit, dass den ermittelnden Beamten etwas Wichtiges entgangen ist. Die Wildnis fernab der Großstadt droht Dr. Stahl und der jungen Frau zum Verhängnis zu werden, als das Verbrechen durch ihre Anwesenheit plötzlich wieder aktuell wird.
