About this listen
The gripping follow-up to the number one best seller Little Bones.
Good intentions can be deadly....
A missing girl. A case that's personal. A contract killer on Irish soil. Cat Connolly is back at work. Struggling to adjust to physical and mental scars, her workload once again becomes personal when her best friend, Sarah Jane, goes missing.
Sarah Jane's a journalism student, the daughter of a decorated war correspondent, but what could she be working on that could lead to her disappearance? And how deadly will it get?
In the world of missing persons every second counts, but with the clock ticking, can Cat find Sarah Jane before it's too late?

The story line was unrealistic and the perpetrators were obvious from the beginning.
The main character was frustrating. she certainly didn't behave like the focussed champion she claimed to be. She refused to follow reasonable direction from her commanding officer, contaminating potential crime scenes, sharing evidence with some attactive guy and compromising the safety of several people. She runs head first into things without thinking them through first. There also seems to be some sort of sexual tension between her and her commanding officer, which is why she gets away with that crap. She should've been disciplined, demoted or fired with that many breaches of protocol.
I managed to get through to the end and there were a couple of bizarre twists. I'm so glad I purchased this book as a daily special rather than spending a credit on it.
predictable storyline
