Immortal Ops

Immortal Ops Team Captain Lukian Vlakhusha is having issues with his newest target, Peren Matthews. His higher-ups want her eliminated. He simply wants her. The alpha side of him demands he claim her—that is, if she’ll have him. After all, he’s what she fears most—a wolf shifter. But there is more to Peren than even she’s aware of and the enemy is closer than anyone imagined.

Critical Intelligence

Roi Majors, wolf-shifter and second in command of the I-Ops, is having a hard time believing that Intel can only get half the information needed to bring down an underground ring of vampires with big-spending backers who are hell-bent on creating a race of supernaturals with multiple strands of DNA in them. When he finds himself paired with the one woman in the world who seems immune to his self-proclaimed charms, he can’t wait to see her to safety and then bid her good riddance. He never counted on falling in love with her. And he sure in the hell never counted on her claiming to be an agent with a branch of the government no human should know about.

Radar Deception

Dr. Thaddeus Green survived a werepanther attack long ago, leaving him immortal and a member of the I-Ops team. He’s dedicated his life to genetics and to serving his country. After his mutated DNA led to the death of his loved one, he vowed to never let anyone close to his heart again. Try as he might, Green is unable to stop the mystical pull to the tall, leggy blonde with a sharp tongue and an even worse bite. Thinking Melanie is suffering from mating withdrawal, Green is prepared to do what he must to assure her survival, even if it means claiming her for himself, regardless of his need to protect his heart. Little does Green know that fate has been preparing him for Melanie Daly all his unnaturally long life.

Strategic Vulnerability

Held prisoner in a remote testing facility in the middle of the Brazilian rain forest, subjected to torture and abuse, shape-shifter and alpha male Wilson Rousseau has long since given up hope of being rescued. Days blend together until he can’t help but long for death. Saved from his isolated hell by a female’s distress call, he feels an instant connection to her.

Kimberly thought she was taking a trip to South America to study indigenous plant life. She had no idea she was playing into the hands of a madman whose goal is to create a genetically altered army of super-soldiers. When she finds herself locked in a cell with Wilson, a man who would give his life to save hers, there is an instant attraction. But the dark secrets surrounding their imprisonment may change their lives forever. Can they find a way to beat the odds and be together, or will the madman win?

Enjoyed the story but there are several chapters through each book where it just cutoffs and move to the next chapter. As someone who has read the books I know there is more to the chapter so very frustrating and disappointing

Enjoyable but chapters cutoff

This story is great as is the performance however the editing makes chapters stop in the middle of a sentence. EG book 1 chapter 17.

shame the editing is terrible

AUDIBLE REVIEWS
Love box sets for easy reading but even better to get them as an audible box set.
I don’t have to fiddle around when driving or doing housework, the stories keep flowing.
1 - IMMORTAL OPS
Such fun listening to this series.
2 - CRITICAL INTELLIGENCE
Still found Roi an idiot in how he behaves.
3 - RADAR DECEPTION
AUDIBLE
Listened in the box set.
Better in audible for me. But still find the whole jealous ghost thing with Elizabeth very stupid.
Thad/Green really has foot in mouth syndrome.
But I can understand his confusion over the Elizabeth quandary. What a thing to have happen.
Thad and Elizabeth both lied by omission to each other, so they couldn’t have really loved as deeply as he believed.
I had a problem at the end of chapter 17 with some sort of an over voice happening.
4 - STRATEGIC VULNERABILITY
Loved listening to Wilsons story. I’ve always had a soft spot for Wilson, due to his being the brunt of everyone else’s jokes.
BOOK REVIEWS
1 - IMMORTAL OPS
Great characters with strong alpha males but equally strong and capable women.
What a different and interesting shifter tale. A very good read which I couldn’t put down.
This theme of Soldiers being genetically engineered made more by scientists has been done before but this does not detract from this series in any way.
In this book, we have a true born Lycan though as the leader. Lukian allowed his blood to be used to help humans but once again things get abused by the maniacal greed that seems to overtake scientists.
Lukian is also the King of the Lycans.
Loved this bunch of crazy super soldiers and Peren’s friends Melanie and Missy seem to have more to them than meets the eye.
Lukian and Perez made one hell of a couple.
This is the new revised and extended edition of this book.
I have owned most of the books in this series for ages, love rereading them but the reviews written and posted from the back of the books have disappeared, so I am reviewing again as I read the newer versions.
2 - CRITICAL INTELLIGENCE
Great characters with strong alpha males but equally strong and capable women.
Roi is a bit of a disaster in this but in a lovely way. He keeps putting his foot in it with Missy and treats her like one of his one-night bimbos as he doesn’t realise she is his mate.
Missy’s story is one hell of a surprise and loved the ending when she kicked a**.
The background story of Roi and Missy when she was a baby bought me to tears. Not sure why Missy’s dad lied about everything like he did. It caused so much hurt to Missy and Eaden.
Poor Eaden, hope he gets his HEA too.

3 - RADAR DECEPTION
Read in the 2016 Anniversary edition box set.
Not my favourite story in this series.
I enjoyed spending time with everyone and it was great having Eaden joining in. Loved Melanie’s dad too.
The silliness of the Elizabeth part just made me roll my eyes. Her actions and the fact she was apparently this all encompassing bada** warrior of legions but can’t stop herself from being forcibly married and then beaten by her husband. I just can’t believe she didn’t just lop off Ferdian’s head.
The male stupidity of Green was phenomenal, he really does put his big foot right in it, rather than use his brilliant brain to communicate. I laughed when the girls wanted to throw him out of the plane.
Not sure what I think of Melanie.
Her need for lots of sex is explained but I still felt uncomfortable with the sheer amount of men she has been with.
Then we have the fact she is a powerful Fae. She has also been friends with Missy and Peren for ages, but doesn’t pick up they are both different since meeting their mates. She was quite obtuse on a lot of matters.
Poor Wilson, given such a hard time by everyone but he was willing to give up his life for Melanie.
Read and reviewed years ago but previous reviews missing. No hardship to reread in the anniversary box set edition before I catch up with the later books I have not yet read.
4 - STRATEGIC VULNERABILITY
Read in the 2016 anniversary box set.
Even though the group are not in this book very much, I thought it great that the women go haring off to save Wilson, with the men chasing after the women.
Loved reading Wilson’s story, just sad that he had to suffer so much torture at the hands of Krauss and his goons.
Really liked Kim and how protective she was of Wilson right from the start but her leaving him like she did, though understandable, is still a bit naughty. Though I did like how he walked into her life.
My only grievances they could have ended Krauss and his evil reign but didn’t.
Interesting that even with Kim’s Fae dad helping, Krauss gets away.
