The experiences of the main character, waking up in confusion, sharing her memories of imperfect family, motherhood, grief, and more, were something the author managed to make viscerally real (oh how I felt those mundane moments). I generally go for faster-paced stories, but I’m so glad I listened to this one. Very much enjoyed the narration, too.
