Samtidigt försöker Skärgårdstidningens redaktör, Angelica Moe, ta reda på vad som gick snett när en ung man från Skarpö oväntat avled under en operation. Ingreppet utfördes vid Karolinska universitetssjukhuset i Solna, samma sjukhus som den mördade läkaren arbetade på, och frågan är om det kan finnas någon koppling till mordet.
