Publisher's Summary

The incredible, frank, and moving autobiography by the Prince of F***ing Darkness!

Has there ever been a more extraordinary rock-star story than Ozzy Osbourne's? Born into a life so poor that the whole family slept in one room, Ozzy endured a tough upbringing. Music was his salvation, and his band Black Sabbath went on to change the music scene forever. But along with the rock and roll came the inevitable sex and drugs, and Ozzy fell into a long relationship with addictive substances.

The stories of Ozzy's days on the road are legendary - biting the head off a live bat, losing his best friend and writing partner Randy Rhoades in a tragic plane crash - but few know of the real heartbreak he suffered during those days of excess.

In the end, it was love that saved him: the love of his wife, Sharon, and his kids, Kelly, Jack and Aimee. In his highly anticipated autobiography, Ozzy comes clean - in all senses.

Brilliant Book!!

A great Audiobiography, not as long as the book, but it takes the best chunks from the book to put it into a shorter version! Frank Skinner reads it to perfection! a must listen for any Ozzy fan.

A pretty decent listen shame it wasn't that long.

I love ozzy, a great listen! sadly it was to short I wanted to hear more and more details. It just felt like it was rushed at times, and I thought there wasn't loads on Randy Rhoads which I was surprised. Apart from that I really enjoyed the book it was great to hear some of the storys of the Black Sabbath era. If you love Ozzy, Sabbath and craziness then this for you but at times you do want to hear more.!

Nothing new here

Would you try another book written by Ozzy Osbourne or narrated by Frank Skinner?

Perhaps its the over-saturated nature of TV and the media but there was nothing in this book that you wont have learned by following Ozzy via TV and printed tabloid media. I wanted more depth but this was shallow. Even Frank Skinner sounded disinterested. Oh and it was short. really short. I listened to all of this in 2 car journeys.

Would you ever listen to anything by Ozzy Osbourne again?

Nope

Would you listen to another book narrated by Frank Skinner?

perhaps

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. a waste of money.

Brilliantly read missing a few parts

Having read the hardback copy of the book and knowing how amazing it is i was disappointed to listen to a shortened version of the book. That being said read brilliantly by Frank Skinner.

Interesting but short

I enjoyed this. The first half is the most interesting, & you can see some details are missing due to his massive alcoholism; he probably genuinely doesn't remember a lot of stuff. Only 3 hours long too.
