Publisher's Summary

This audiobook includes an interview with Ozzy Osbourne from 2009.

People ask me how come I'm still alive, and I don't know what to say. When I was growing up, if you'd have put me up against a wall with the other kids from my street and asked me which one of us was gonna make it to the age of 60, with five kids and four grandkids and houses in Buckinghamshire and California, I wouldn't have put money on me, no f--king way. But here I am: ready to tell my story, in my own words, for the first time.

A lot of it ain't gonna be pretty. I've done some bad things in my time. But I ain't the devil. I'm just John Osbourne: a working-class kid from Aston, who quit his job in the factory and went looking for a good time.

Awesome book

I was a bit on the fence about getting this book but so glad I did! Highly entertaining, the stories are hilarious and the narrator does an amazing job! I found myself making excuses to go on 1.5 hr walks just so I could listen to the audio book, it's very addictive! :)

Wild story from Legend

Been a sabbath and ozzy fan all my life and to get the story from his perspective is so refreshing to what i normally get from docos and interviews which in hindsight where far from the real story. Narrator was all time aswell, next best thing to the man himself

how is ozzy alive

another great biography....sharon osbourne is some sort of woman putting up with this bloke, all though he does seem like a lover not a fighter.

Bonkers! I couldn’t love it more

I absolutely loved this book. I laughed out loud so many times! I found that it’s as much a story about really living your life, owning your mistakes and not holding grudges as it is totally bonkers, really funny and entertaining. The narrator is perfect! So good that I’d forget it isn’t Ozzy narrating it.

Simply brilliant narrator

Rupert Farley brings Ozzy’s story to life. Often have to stop myself and realise it’s not Ozzy himself I’m listening to

A good proper story

I liked that this book was very much telling a historic sequence of his life, what had happened and what he regretted felt very authentic Also very humble not like a lot of other celebrities books where they constantly want to refer to the successes they have had.

great book

Unfortunately it took a few goes to get into this book but he's definitely lived one hell of a life and is a good length story even with some of the boring bits. even though the narrating is abit average its still alot better than if Ozzy read it himself.

one of the best

I am Ozzy is both funny and poignant in many places. It's amazing some of the things Ozzy has done in his life, but he still seems to be as down to earth and humble as he always was (minus the drugs and booze) He can acknowledge his own faults, and still come across in a humorous way that makes me both admire and feel sorry for him. He makes it easy to forgive him for his shortcomings, and he can be surprisingly insightful. The narrator does an amazing job. For me, it's easy to picture Ozzy being the narrator, and having been a fan for decades, I can see his face and gestures while he would be reading. This book, and it's brilliant narrator, have made me an even bigger Ozzy fan, and made me respect the man even more for what he's gone through. Even if he didn't always do it gracefully, he still dealt with his issues, and came out a better man.

A Nice Listen

50 plus years of Ozzy's "memories ". The Black Sabbath years were funny and laughable. Not much detail on the solo years, especially after the Randy era. Still , this listen is enjoyable and definitely worth it's price. Another good book by one of my teenage Heavy Metal idols.

The narrator is AWFUL!!

This book really is brilliant, but the fact that the narrator put on what is the worst accent I’ve ever heard makes this totally pointless and unlistenable... real shame as I was looking forward to this

Great listen!

Absolutely love Ozzy and considering he was born five minutes away from my house, I really don’t recognise the accent on this audiobook 😩😂 Only downside to a brilliant autobiography.

Amazing stories from start to finish. Narrator does a great job and after a couple of minutes of adjusting you feel like you are listening to Ozzy himself.

If you like Witt and a story about drugs, fame rock and roll then this will be the best ever, by far this book is the best to laugh out loud. I can’t suggest it enough. I be listening again. Well done Ozzy and sharron I love you. I hope you all are well and happy. Reminds me of similar issues.

Banging

An extremely humorous look at Ozzy's crazy train of a lifestyle over the past decades. From his humble beginnings to luxury houses in california. I'm sure plenty is missing from this but I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the narrator who captured the brummie accent and Ozzy's idiosyncrasies extremely well.
