love the series...not this story teller
I love this series. I'm listening to them back to back. it's hard enough hearing a different voice each book. takes a bit to adjust to it. but this one, is by far the worse. he has no emotion in his voice. he's so monotone. barely changes from seen to seen. voices aren't varied. sorry. struggling to follow this story because of it. but will persist.

Great Story. Suspenseful then Fizzles just Before the End
This book gets a 4 because even though it was a great story & was suspenseful, it didn’t fulfil the reader’s expectation of a satisfactory conclusion. The reward for being with the author right to the end. I was totally hooked in, then it all fizzled away to the family backstory. The big ending was who the who dunnit was. Then followed by very little action. If you could call it that. That’s it!

BORING! Waste of money
What would have made I, Alex Cross better?
Too slow to get going. Narrator was useless, hard to tell who was who. Never finished the book just couldn't get into it. I think after having listened to Michael Connelly's and Lee Child's books I now have high expectations of other authors. Really tried to get into this, but started to fall asleep. Far to slow. I wish Michael Connelly had more I could listen too but have got them all already.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Anything but James Patterson.
How could the performance have been better?
Narrator could have used a better variation of voices. Seemed a bit mono tone for me.
What character would you cut from I, Alex Cross?
Alex Cross. Get rid of him. Boring.
Any additional comments?
Annoyed. I was hoping this author would have given me another series to get into. But alas, too slow for me. shame,.

When Nana Mama was found by Alex and taken to hospital.

Dodgy English Accent
I always enjoy the Alex Cross books - nice easy listening which you don’t have to think about too much. Unfortunately one of the characters was from England and the narrater’s accent was not good, verging on comical - I always think it’s so weird that Americans struggle with an English accent - it didn’t ruin the story but it did make me laugh and also slightly cringe.....

Cliche overload
My friend insisted I read this. Load of rubbish. Cliche after cliche; reads like a (bad) parody of the genre. The ending...dreadful.
