The Hardy Boys: Hunting For Hidden Gold

The Hardy Boys, Book 5

By Franklin W. Dixon

Narrated by Gary D. MacFadden

Hunting For Hidden Gold is the fifth book in the original Hardy Boys series.

While their father, Fenton Hardy, is in Montana working on a case of stolen gold, the Hardy Boys and their friends meet Jadbury Wilson, a former gold prospector. Wilson relates his tale of how Bart Dawson, a trusted member of his party, disappeared with four bags of hard-won gold during a gunfight. Frank and Joe are thrilled to receive a telegram from their father, requesting that they join him in Montana immediately to assist on the gold case. But to their surprise, Fenton Hardy is working for Bart Dawson, the same man whom Jadbury Wilson has accused of having stolen his gold.

Somebody doesn't want the Hardy Boys to make it to Montana. The boys are lured onto the wrong train, and later they narrowly escape being kidnapped. They finally arrive in Lucky Bottom, Montana, to find that their father has been injured, and needs their help to track down clues while he recuperates. Will the boys succeed in locating the hidden gold, and will they all survive unscathed?
