Publisher's Summary

Is humility a Christlike attribute that should be pursued? And even if it should be, can genuine humility actually be attained? Often so practical in application that it is overlooked, the answer is found by studying the life and words of Christ (whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your slave). This little book is a loud call to all committed Christians to prove that meekness and lowliness of heart is the evidence by which those who follow the meek and lowly Lamb of God are to be known. Never mind that your initial efforts will be misunderstood, taken advantage of, or even resisted. Instead, learn from the One who came not to be ministered unto, but to serve. For a Christian to be alive, for the life of Christ to reign in and through us, we must be empty of ourselves, exchanging our life for his life, our pride for true, Christlike humility.

great piece on Christian perspective on humility

I found the reading easy to listen to, and the content refreshingly Christian. The author quotes Bible passages and gives chapter & verse inline so there is strong continuity between the statements he makes, and his takes on corresponding scripture.

Most Important Book I've Listened to.

Speaks right to the heart of the simplicity of how to receive the power of God's life changing grace: Humility.

"Pride must die in you, or nothing of heaven may live in you." — Andrew Murray

For as water flows to and fills first the lowest place, so is the way of God's grace to the humble.

Poor reader

this is an amazing book I can't believe it was so poorly read for someone to consume its truth. I hope producers in the future raised the bar of quality

not spirit milk, but spiritual steak!

It takes a while to pull my attention into this older writing, but it is absolutely beautiful in the way it describes humility!

Humility The Beauty of Holiness.

It is a great book on a subject that has been ignored or neglected for too long.

Wonderful read.

Oh so true, if we want to grow further in grace we have to have the meekness and gentleness of Christ no matter how humble we think we are, we need still to have the humbleness of God. God will surely break us and make us into what he wants us to be in him. we have to die completely to self let the Holy Spirit take absolute control. there is no other way to live for God. one will, let his will be done. only his will has to abide in us to truly serve him. God has to be all in all in us. what a great lesson.
