Fantastic guide to writing great copy

I liked Ray’s voice, authoritative in a guiding way- like a shepherd.
There were many examples to get a novice entrepreneur like me started and excited about copy writing.

Buy the print or kindle version. The narration is trash.

First of all, I appreciate the author’s expertise on the subject matter. I’m grateful that he went to the trouble to share his trade secrets to other writers. I have great respect for this book, and it is the best instructional/guidance book I have read so far on copywriting. That being said, the random, strangely long, and ill-timed pauses in narration nearly caused me to collapse in a frothy hate seizure. 10 minutes in, with my blood pressure soaring, I had to buy the Kindle version. Please do not waste your money on the audible version of this particular book.

Looooads of great and actionable information

The book is totally full of great information and is structured well. The only issues I have is that the material most likely better suited for a physical book, and that the summaries at the end of each chapter often feel like a faithful repetition of the chapter itself.
But all in all still a clear recommendation!

A must have Resource for everyone

There are some books you just breeze through, and then some whose pages get torn, have coffee spills, bookmarks, highlights and all sorts of tags. This book is definitely the latter. What you should do is bookmark all the summaries at the end of each chapter so that way you can jump to it every time you write copy. Another thing you must do is listen attentively for books the author references or recommends, just go buy them. I just bought "Influence" by Robert Cialdini. Great authors reference other great authors, so thanks Ray for that. Lastly if you run a business, buy this book for every employee, writing copy is not just for the sales & marketing departments, you need to get everyone in your organisation involved, your emails and communication with the world will be vastly improved, and so will the balance in your bank account. Exceptional Reference Book

Great book well read. However it's not the best book for audio consumption. it's full of lists, checklists, and items you will want to reference while writing, You'll want a hard or digital copy. Audio makes a great reinforcement or overview, but this is a reference book you'll want to return to.
