Really Helpful book, my fav of all hers.
I really loved it. I think it my fav of the 3 of her books I have read. It gave me a fresh look on self sabotage and the inner critic which has been an amazingly helpful reframe. Highly recommend!

I’ve been listening to and reading everything Teal Swan produces, publishes and shares since discovering her authentic and resonating truth several years ago. How to Love Yourself is another Teal Swan gem providing the audience with profound insights, clear examples, gentle guidance, and dozens of practical tools to gradually implement into one’s own life to increase positive self perception. These tools make good sense and, if practiced with a loving commitment, will result in an attainment of greater levels of self love and happiness.
Teal gets it.

The water exercise that changed my life!
For the first half of 2023 I went on a FT mission to decondition my hyper masculine side and rediscover and align with my inner divine feminine. I was in a place where I was seeking empowered divine feminines to help me understand a part of my soul, that society has conditioned out of me.
My best friend recommended Swan’s book, and within the first chapter I was absolutely floored by her life story. Shock was an understatement, but it also came a sense of familiarity, having spiritual gifts that no one else understands. I curiously progressed thru the book, as she detailed how she feels and experiences the world around her.
Then came the water exercise. A simple, yet effective, duh! moment of utilising this technique, knowing we are mostly comprised of water and how to manipulate it. I’m super into bio-energetics, so the water technique was a no brainer! Everyone talks about self love, but not many people describe the techniques and shifts to actually truely love yourself. All of the ‘self love’ that I did was actually more along the lines of ‘self care’ and didn’t get to the root of the problem. But I’m a confident, independent woman on the outside who has a presence when she steps into the room… so surely I can’t have wounds around self love. Lo and behold after weeks of meditation and purging, I found it deep, near the absolute centre of my core. I had buried it so deep that it was going almost undetectable, at titanic depths.
I really resonated with the question Swan wrote which was ‘What makes people who love themselves, from people who don’t?’. This book really helped me love those denied and ignored places back to life, and her questions helped me frame life decisions around this consistent narrative of ‘Does this thing serve my highest good?’. ‘Does this spark joy?’. ‘Does this lend to my happiness?’. ‘Does this lend to the vision that I have of the life I want to live, or does it make me feel further away from it?.
Great book of soul loving, deep, radical spiritual awakening. Top 5 books of all time that will nourish the soul to depths you didn’t know you could dive.

Such an amazing book!!
Teal Swan has nailed it perfectly, absolutely lobed this book, iv read it three times and discovered something new each time. It's a book that keeps on giving as you evolve.
