About this listen

A steamy, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy about mistakes we make and the chances we take on the road to love.

After a snowstorm grounds her flight, Lucy makes a last-ditch effort to get home for Christmas using a rideshare app. She thinks she’ll be taking a road trip with a stranger...but the guy who shows up is someone she knows all too well. He’s the hookup she ghosted a few months ago, and now she’ll be stuck in a car with him for the most awkward road trip of her life.

Making matters worse, he’s even more gorgeous than she remembers—too bad things between them are frostier than the North Pole. Will the long ride home allow them to get to know each other in surprising new ways? And more importantly, will the season warm things up and send sparks flying yet again? Whatever happens, one thing is clear: It’s going to take a whole lot of Christmas magic to unlock their guarded hearts.

3.5 Stars. A cute Christmas romance that has quite a few good elements in it but not quite the 5 star read. The way they keep meeting is handled well and I love the stopover town of Tinsel along the way. There's a bit of holiday magic going on there. Lots of good support characters and a few laughs.
The narrators were on point and were a highlight of this Audible original.

I really enjoyed listening to this holiday rom com set in such an adorable small town, and narrated by
I had a good giggle at certain parts and managed to listen to it in one sitting basically.
Lucy and Eric had met each other once and then never spoke again until the day all flights get cancelled and Lucy finds herself stuck at the airport trying to get home for Christmas.
I don’t do spoilers so this is as much as I will say on the storyline, I don’t want to give anything away.
I really enjoyed the narrators on this audio book to, they executed the book so well, it was such an enjoyable experience.

A very cute Holiday romance

I found the male narration by both laughable and painful at first. His too-deep "masculine" voice was put-on and was over-the-top and stilted. It sounded like he was reading the trailer of a b-grade action film. "ERIC. DIDN'T. KNOW... HOW. HUNGRY. HE. WAS... UNTIL. HE. SMELLED. THE. TURKEY'S. SAVOURY. AROMA...".
It did seem to get less exaggerated as the book went on and he read the female parts well, so it seemed to be how he played 'Eric' (every second chapter).
The story was predictable as expected but wasn't bad for a bit of Christmas/romance fluff.

Narration Sounds Like an Action Trailer

Christmas meets romance meets a happily ever after. It’s what I came for, and it’s exactly what I got.
I did find the male narrators voice quite abrupt, push past that he’s not too bad by the end.

Cheesy Holiday Romance in all its glory

This book had everything I look for in a romance. It made me giggle and swoon. I had a great time listening to this and the narrators performance was amazing.

I want the Tinsel town to be real. It’s sounds like a Christmas dream.
