Publisher's Summary

A New York Times best seller!

A growing number of Americans want to tear down what it’s taken us 250 years to build - and they’ll start by canceling our shared history, ideals, and culture.

Traditional areas of civic agreement are vanishing. We can’t agree on what makes America special. We can’t even agree that America is special. We’re coming to the point that we can’t even agree what the word America itself means.

“Disintegrationists” say we’re stronger together, but their assault on America’s history, philosophy, and culture will only tear us apart. Who are the disintegrationists? From Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States to the New York Times’ 1619 Project, many modern analyses view American history through the lens of competing oppressions, a racist and corrupt experiment from the very beginning. They see American philosophy as a lie - beautiful words pasted over a thoroughly rotted system. They see America’s culture of rights as a façade that merely reinforces traditional hierarchies of power, instead of being the only culture that guarantees freedom for individuals.

Disintegrationist attacks on the values that built our nation are insidious because they replace each foundational belief, from the rights to free speech and self-defense to the importance of marriage and faith communities, with nothing more than an increased reliance on the government.

This twisted disintegrationist vision replaces the traditional “unionist” understanding that all Americans are united in a shared striving toward the perfection of universal ideals.

How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps shows that to be a cohesive nation we have to uphold foundational truths about ourselves, our history, and reality itself - to be unionists instead of disintegrationists. Shapiro offers a vital warning that if we don’t recover these shared truths, our future - our union - as a great country is threatened with destruction.

Incredible message for every American!

My copy of this recording had several glitches in the audio, but the analysis by Ben Shapiro of American history, and how people have been trying to destroy it and replace it with one of racism and greed, is impeccable. We need this content to be taught in primary school, And we need the philosophy to be taught in high school. As long as our schools continue to fail our students and teaching them how to truly understand the principles of the foundation of this country, and the obstacles that got in the way of the true realization of those principles.

Amazing

An emotional journey. I dont think the author was intending to be funny but i laughed out loud so many times. I was also brought close to tears with the gravity of the stories included.
This is a book i will re read again and again. A book truly worthy of my time and focus.
To finish i must ask, why are you still reading this review? Buy the audio book. Its a great use of your time.

Sadly Prescient

With the 2020 election over, this book details what a missed opportunity the American public had to cement a prosperous and principalled legacy. Ben's insights are truly enlightening. Even from here in New Zealand, we appreciate all the activity for the conservative movement that The Daily Wire in general, and Ben in particular have done for us.

He did it again 🤓

This book should become mandatory for all schools, let's not repeat the chaos of the past 10 years.

An extremely relevant, excellent analysis of current society

Shapiro delivers a masterful analysis of American society and the root of our divisions and what we can do to remedy them. An excellent read, highly recommend.

A worthwhile read

In his expected style the narrative was well presented, logically argued and we'll supported. while American focused. There is sufficient generalised views to be informative to most Western democratic countries.

Biased view

The author only tries to analyse the problem from one perspective, which is kind of biased and the logic is comprised.

Painful narrator

This would probably have been tolerable if it’s wasn’t for the voice of the narrator being so whiny and piercing.
