Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

This book was incredibly thought-provoking. There are a few chapters that I have bookmarked to come back to when they are needed. Such as Pause, Let go of FOMO, The Alphabet is a Lie and allllll of Part Four... I am at a place in my life where these particular parts of the book really related to me and what I am trying to work on and have given me a little extra confidence boost to keep growing and climbing those stairs.

It was amazing to be able to hear a little insight into what has made Lilly so successful and be able to relate and apply some of those things she's learnt to my own life. I don't want to give away too much of the book to anyone reading this review but you know when you hear things that feel like they are directed right at you? This is how I felt listening to this, I have both a hard copy of the physical book and the audiobook on my phone to make it easier when travelling and out somewhere when I need a little reminder. And I LOVE the fact I can listen to not only Lilly actually speak these words, but some of the bigger influences in her journey.
I love things that make me think of a deeper level and that challenge me in all the right ways. This was definitely one of those things.

How to be a Bawse is just what I needed for my soul, kinda like Jewish chicken soup for the soul. Being in a start up business and spending the last few year “hustling” hard it can become isolating and disheartening. Lilly you have raised my spirits to keep on hustling “like a bawse” and know that there will be ups and downs, thanks girl! Big love!

I loved this book apart from her examples regarding her beliefs about god. i found it so offensive that she says god signed her permission slip. to believe that i feel is to believe god would favor her over others. however this is not so much a blight on her belief than that of many privileged religious people. if god signs her permission slip what the hell happened to all the others who didn't make it to the point where they can even have dreams to achieve. i listened to that chapter and took a week break. i do believe this book would even better if that chapter was ommited.
