Publisher's Summary

The best-selling author of The Mummy Bloggers is back with another rip-roaring story about mums, phones and the cult of self-improvement.

In the rolling green hills of Australia's hippest hinterland, a new guru is blogging about her breakfast. Elle Campbell is back, holed up in an exclusive retreat where women pay thousands to mimic her extreme lifestyle, or die trying. But who's bankrolling Elle's new empire? And why are her two tiny sons suddenly absent from her glossy public image?

Abi Black just wants to marry her true love under a tree in the garden on New Year's Eve. But her ex-husband is building a financial cult in the shed, Elle is looming and her teenage daughter's YouTube channel is gaining followers for all the wrong reasons. The wedding might have to wait.

Frances Graham has a colicky newborn, an absent husband and a WhatsApp mothers' group that's giving her anxiety. But she's certain that if she can just be more like those fitmums on Instagram, things can only get better. And surely, if she can scrape enough money together to make it to Elle's retreat, everything in her life will be just...perfect.

Through a world of fake gurus, green smoothies and bad influencers, How to Be Perfect follows Elle, Abi and Frankie into the cult of self-improvement that's taking over your phone...and your breakfast.

Such an enjoyable read/listen

Very rarely have I enjoyed a sequel as much as I did with How to Be Perfect! After the first novel I wasn't ready to say goodbye to the characters.....even Elle ;) So thank you Holly. You delivered again. Your sequel to Mummy bloggers was everything I hoped it would be.

Perfect beach reading

Although this book is marketed as a light holiday read, it very cleverly touches on the topical issue of social media and it’s negative impact on women’s lives. I was surprised at how much it made me consider my own relationship with social media and how it influences me.

I really hope there’s a third in the series!

Intriguing storyline

Really enjoyed the interweaving plots and twists of this story and the angle of social media in the character's everyday lives.
The narration was extremely clever with so many female characters to perform.
Could have had a stronger ending though.

Love love love! Can’t wait for the next book.

Loved continuing the adventures from The Mommy Bloggers! Can’t wait for another book to continue with the characters - or entirely new ones, because I know they’ll be brilliant! The Audible performance from Aimee Horne is extraordinary. Super entertaining.

Really enjoyable read

I was so excited to see there was a second instalment from the authors first book. I really enjoyed the story line but found the ending quite rushed. I hope to see a follow up written soon. Another light hearted read just the first book
