Publisher's Summary

A forbidden obsession. Unyielding family allegiance. Three deadly challenges.

The Human

When a trip into the forest to collect a rare mushroom goes horribly wrong, I find myself falling through a fairy portal and straight into the arms of the Unseelie Fae prince. The dangerously unhinged and handsome Unseelie Fae prince.

What could be more horrible than that? He thinks I'm an assassin sent by the humans to kill him, not a biologist.

Determined to kill me first and rid himself of the human he has unwillingly grown obsessed with, yet also needing to entertain his people, the villain challenges me to three deadly trials.

If I survive, I gain my freedom. But if not...

The Fae

I've never felt anything but hate and loathing until my eyes found hers—the vile human assassin's. She is a parasite that has mercilessly latched onto my mind and won't let me free.

My hand itches to be ungloved and feel her smooth skin, even though I would never. The Unseelie Fae royals would rather burn than touch a repulsive human.

I fear that if I do not destroy the girl soon, she may be the only thing that's capable of truly destroying me.

Not sure what all the hype was about.

Storyline was really silly and laughable. Ridiculous really. I wanted to like it but it took a really weird turn toward the last several chapters. Not sure if it was made worse by the over exaggerating tone of the narration.

Concept is great

The idea of the story is fine, but I could not get over how insufferable and self centred the main character is. I wanted to give it a chance so I persevered. They didn’t get better. But the concept of the story was great!

Good read

Okay I read this strictly because of a exaggerated TikTok video. I give it a half n half, it is detailed more than need to be in the beginning with which I found boring, the storyline itself half way through got interesting, the twist end did not see that coming, but would I continue to read the next book? I honestly don’t know? Maybe I would just out of curiosity, rather than pure excitement to want to read it.

A good listen

I was impatient in the beginning and wanted to get into it quicker but I stuck it out and overall an interesting book. I don’t like being read to but found this narration tolerable. I liked how it swapped from a male to female voice depending on which character was telling the story.

how far to go for love

how does it feel by jeaneane o'riley. callie, a scientist trying to prove her theories and thesis that stumbled into a world nothing like her own . she must brave herself to find a way home and to get out of her life.
but she undoubtedly falls for a fae prince, and that is where her troubles start.
but the climax of this book left me wanting more.
I loved this book and the characters and felt sad and happy for them as they did.

ooh girll, the ending...

Stick it out. I found this a slow burn wishing there was more lust between them. But then came the final trial! Leading into the ending! Holy smokes!! Give me the second book ASAP!
