About this listen

Free the crows, Fallon, and they will make you queen.

Until an oracle predicted my regal future, I'd never imagined myself rising above the curve of my round ears. After all, I was the magicless halfling loved by beasts but loathed by every pure-blooded faerie at court. Well...by all but one.

Dante Regio, prince of Luce, had owned my heart since he gave me my first kiss. If gathering a slew of iron relics could help me overthrow the current monarch and crown his brother to rule at my side, then treasure hunting I'd go.

If only the oracle had warned me what winged demon I was releasing into the world.

And that I'd become this demon's obsession.

Fans of Sarah J. Maas and Mary E. Pearson will devour this epic fantasy romance full of deceit, betrayal, and false loves that could swallow a person whole.

Critic Reviews

"A fantastical delight of a book, rich with its imagination and lush with its storytelling." (RUNYX, author of Gothikana)

Just the right amount of adventure and romance. I instantly became immersed in this one and binged listened until it was finished. Loved the narrator as well! Can’t want to get into book 2.

This story was epic!

I enjoyed the story and plot but the Narrator had a really weird style and accent - saying things like thought as "thot" and calm as "colm", caught as "cot", palm as "pulm."
I don't know if it was an attempt to sound more posh but it was really distracting.

good story weird narrator

I gave up. It was okay however the accent of the narrator was not to my liking. Also who knew that the author could use the word “palm” pronounced “polm” by the narrator soo many times ..

This gripping story finally relieved my reading slump! Although slower in pass, the build up and attention to detail drew me in so much that by the time we reached the end I was eager for more. I am excited to dive into the rest of the series.

Dark Italian fairytale

I was completely enchanted by this story and can’t wait to read book 2. So many fantasy books are disappointing with contrived plots, annoying whiny heroines or simply badly written but this book was well written with an engaging plot, wonder characters and a very slow burn romance. The narrator was a joy to listen to. Well done.

What a delighted book
