Sapiens showed us where we came from. In our increasingly uncertain times, Homo Deus shows us where we're going.

The world-renowned historian and intellectual Yuval Noah Harari envisions a near future in which we face a new set of challenges. Homo Deus explores the projects, dreams and nightmares that will shape the twenty-first century and beyond - from overcoming death to creating artificial life.

It asks the fundamental questions: how can we protect this fragile world from our own destructive power? And what does our future hold?

'Homo Deus will shock you. It will entertain you. It will make you think in ways you had not thought before' Daniel Kahneman, bestselling author of Thinking, Fast and Slow

New religions and why they are gathering momentum is a growth humanity needs to keep up with technology.
I found the book quite freeing as it allowed me the validity to be confused and bewildered knowing most others are also.
Well written and narrated in an extremely engaging way.
You had me hooked with Sapiens but Homo Deus is the next chapter I’m not sure I wanted but had to have.

Not for the faint hearted.

Wow. Though this view of our potential future is a scary one, Yuval is always intelligent, thought provoking and relevant. I want to quiz him on his beliefs, after listening to this. I feel more informed about the direction the world is heading and more motivated to sway it a different way.
Funny how the Data- ists want the internet of all things to connect everything there is, when everything already is connected. Technology is still trying to emulate what already exists, yet doesn't acknowledge it's existence.

Scary but necessary
