Max Robertson is an overworked lawyer in a big firm; he’s a high-flyer who has sacrificed a personal life for his blossoming career. He has no interest in returning to his small home town of Edgewood for Christmas but he’s made promises he can’t get out of. Edgewood holds a lot of bad memories, especially those involving his alcoholic dad. In the way to the town, Max’s car slides off the road and he’s rescued by Dominic ‘Nicky’ Bell, the younger brother of his best friend, who is a police officer after having discharged from the military. Nicky has always had a crush on Max and he can’t believe his luck!

I thoroughly enjoyed this festive / best friend’s brother’s romance. Max and Nicky were both decent people and the scenes with Nicky’s nieces were incredibly sweet. I liked the chemistry and the engaging writing style a lot. 🎧 Voice artist Kai Rubio gave a great performance on the audio, he pitched the characters, the sweet story, and the small-town vibe perfectly!
