I was surprised when they were all separate novellas and not an extension of each other.

These beautiful tales remind me of a book I grew up with that had stories of adventurous women in the Highlands (minus the raunchy bits). Thank you for taking me back to happy childhood memories as well as stepping me back in time with the magic of these tales.

I cannot tell you if this is a good book or rather books as there is more than one, OMG, I tried to listen to the story but I just couldn't... I gave up totally when the second tale started at chapter 9.
It's a very rare American that can pull off the English accent believably, unfortunately while Caroline is good, her accent changed the province within the same character, she put twang on certain words and mispronounced others.BUUTTT she absolutely murdered the Scottish. It's obvious she has never had a conversation with a Scotsman I wanted to say nice things about Caroline but I am so offended, I canna! 😛
