Publisher's Summary

He's determined to rescue her, whether she likes it or not.

Bucking family tradition, Dyre is determined to become his planet's first hero, even if it breaks his mother's heart. He sets out on numerous quests to bring justice to the universe. However, his altruism never seems to turn out quite as expected. Who knew doing the right thing was so hard?

In between saving those who don't want his help - and the chaos that follows - he rescues a damsel in distress. She doesn't appreciate his heroic abduction, and, even worse, once Dyre gets to know the outspoken human, he entertains less-than-noble thoughts about ravishing her.

It takes only a couple of comical mishaps, some hot kisses, and danger for Dyre and Betty to discover their happily ever after - and thank the stars for a heroine who ends up saving this hero, and the galaxy, from his chivalrous side.

My Hero

Another great adventure from Eve. Love it. It was funny and full of adventure. This time a mercenary trying to be a hero. Of course he rescues his mate. He just does not know it yet. I recommend this book and this series if you love adventure, romance and just plain old funny characters.

I t was a fairly good story.

I guess I wasn't as enamored by this story. The characters didn't speak to me like previous books. The erotic scenes were too frequent and I wasn't in love with them. Just left me wanting.

A fun series

This is Dyre's story. Instead of the "Mercenary Guide" Dyre made up and follows his own "Heroes Guide." Every time he tries to help someone, it never seems to work out the way it should. Of course, he doesn't always notice this. It's a fun story and I liked that it was a little different from the others in the series.
