H. P. Lovecraft
About this listen
H. P. Lovecraft was influenced by Edgar Allan Poe and Lord Dunsany's fictional works, and eventually, his stories and books became as good as, perhaps even better than theirs.
In this story, there are mad scientists, grave robbers, stolen bodies, and frightening newspaper reports. It's Lovecraft at his best. Herbert West, Reanimator, is the first of H. P. Lovecraft's stories to mention "Miskatonic University" and the first to imagine Zombies (although he did not call them that ) as dead bodies brought back to life, with horrifying tendencies. A real gem for Lovecraft fans and anyone who enjoys a good scare.
