There is a storyline that develops at a steady pace but the drawn out internal analysing of what could be a SFL takes up too much of some sections and stalls the progress of the story. The over the top self reflection makes you want to turn it off and that’s why I won’t be bothered with the next book as it’s just too much for what could be a fantastic story. I gave it a second chance by listening to the second book but I just can’t be bothered with the thesis of self internal reflection to go any further.

The female narrator ended up annoying me at times. The FMC seemed a bit whiny and the story dragged on for longer than needed
