Publisher's Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Brenda Novak comes the latest audiobook about Dr. Evelyn Talbot and her murderous home for psychopaths. Hello Again is a must-listen for fans of psychological thrillers and crime.

She can make sense of a complex criminal mind.

Evelyn Talbot, a psychiatrist at a maximum-security prison in Alaska, studies some of the world's worst serial killers. But she's about to meet her most elusive patient at Hanover House yet: Dr. Lyman Bishop, aka the Zombie Maker, given his fondness for performing icepick lobotomies on his victims. A brilliant cancer researcher, Bishop is either the most cunning psychopath Evelyn has ever encountered - or he is wrongly convicted.

What happens when a criminal can see into her own?

When a new icepick fatality occurs, it seems Bishop really was wrongly convicted. Except...Evelyn has a personal connection to the victim and that suggests the killer may be someone from her own past: Jasper Moore, her high school boyfriend who tortured her and left her for dead when she was only 16. Jasper also murdered three of her friends - and was never caught. Is he trying to send a message with this copycat crime? The only thing Evelyn knows for sure is that if Jasper is on her trail, she might not be able to escape again....

Get your heart racing with this gruesome audiobook adventure!

Skip It, Skip It, Skip It

Hello Again was all talk and no action. Conversations with and about a jailed psychopath were trite, stereotyped, and at times juvenile. If not for the subject matter, this was written on the level of a Young Adult story, at best. The story was narrated acceptably, although there was little change in vocal pitch and command between a supposed scary scene and the brief (and rather silly) sex scene. Move away from this book.

A captivating listen!

I couldn't stop listening to this book. It was nice to read something that wasn't your typical cop/detective mystery. Good plot and story line. I can't wait for part 2!

I was hooked from the first chapter! Don't Miss It

My favorite book in the series so far! Brenda Novak keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout this one, and you will not want to miss it. This book has a great mix of the love and romance between Evelyn and Amarok, mixed in with the terror and intrigue of the inmates of Hanover House, and the threat from Jasper Moore who is still plotting to get his hands on the one that got away. Dr. Evelyn Talbot is still trying to figure out what makes the psychopath tick, and her newest inmate is the perfect subject for study. However, "the Zombie Maker" as he has been referred to is either one of the smartest subjects she has ever met, or he is innocent. While she is working to get the facts, Amarok is working to find Jasper, and free Evelyn from that threat once and for all. This book has me on the edge of my seat, I was hooked from the first chapter! Don't Miss It!

Wow!

I kept trying to fall asleep using the timer, but every time the story would fade away, I'd just restart the time. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! Gory? Yes, and so well written that I had to remind myself that this us fiction. Loved it!

Well written, great twists.

While I enjoy Therese Plummer's narrating, I had moments with this where I wasn't sure which character's voice she was doing, which can make you rewind some. Otherwise not bad overall. I do sort of hope there's a sequel, because there were no shortage of twists.

Really interesting book! Not for the light hearted! Narration was good! Ending was a tad disappointing.

capturing story with plenty of twists throughout.

I absolutely loved this book it was very suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat from the first sentence to the last. And I have to say it was the best narration I have ever heard. The narrator kept each character different and had infection that added quite a bit to the story. This is a must-read!
