About this listen

Spur Award winner Craig Johnson has garnered critical acclaim for his Walt Longmire mysteries. In this riveting seventh entry, Wyoming's Absaroka County Sheriff Walt Longmire is pushed beyond his limits. When three hardened convicts escape FBI custody in a mountain blizzard, an armed psychopath leads them up Big Horn Mountain. As Longmire struggles to track their treacherous ascent, he'll need all the help he can get from the tribal spirits of the towering summit.

Craig Johnson takes us on the journey with Walt Longmire and we feel as though we’re sitting on his shoulder every step of the way.
Only a superb story teller can bring the reader into a narrative so completely, he feels as though he is an unspoken character.
George Guidall’s narration is perfect and he “gets” the irony, warmth snd grief of this complex ensemble so entirely he has become Walt’s voice.
This episode is a heartbreaking walk with Walt as he juggles sentiment, reality, the presence of his unseen protectors snd the purity of his belief in himself.
Top stuff.
