About this listen

The story begins with a newly divorced writer and her quandary. She must change the ending of her novella or lose her publishing deal. And there's another problem. She's fallen in love with her own protagonist, Hector Wallace. The night before she plans to kill him off in her prose, he appears in her bed in the middle of the night, waking them both. As he reveals details from her unpublished book, she realizes he is indeed, Hector Wallace, and has somehow time-traveled from 1958 Cuba, off the pages of her novella, and into her modern world. The two are an unlikely pair, writer and protagonist, finding much more than they bargained for as they navigate their predicament in small-town Paris, Tennessee.
