I could not put this book down. I was listening to it every chance I got. it got a bit embarrassing cos I would gasp or grimace or cry out in public. so stressful I'm the best way possible. I had this on pre-order for so long I'm a little sad that I've finished it already. lucky i can listen to it again!

I really enjoyed the soul of the first book so much the cute polycule, our fmc finally finding a safe space and her power , for her to find herself bogged down in a toxic manipulative cycle that your confused whether she likes or not until it gets stabby. I really enjoyed the way this book talked about modern political issues we are facing today I feel that is important for our stories to explore them in different ways so that it clicks and awakens us. Although the political issues talked about were impactful I really hope the third instalment revives what made the story great.

Great continuation of the story, but not as good as book 1, that's not to say it was a bad book though, I still enjoyed it though it was lacking in many aspects, I'm hoping book 3 will hold up.

It does get bonus points for being solely Canadian written, published and produced.
