Such an open and honest story, and I'm so glad Ellidy and Chris were brave enough to narrate it themselves. I loved hearing all the stories even though many brought me to tears. It's beautiful how your mess has become your message and that you're able to help others, even though I'm so deeply sorry for how it all came about. Chumpy was a legend, and remains a legend through memories and this book.

I have been waiting 10 months for this Audiobook and it was sooo much better than I anticipated! I don't know how El and Chumps Dad got through reading this!!! I can't even see I've been crying so much!! As someone who lost my first love at 19 this brings back every part of grief. Even the trauma scenarios of losing Rumi - this is grief. El is such a wonderful woman and incredible Mumma to Noonie and Rumi!! I am going to buy the book as well! I want to support El anyway I can.

You know you’ve got a great audiobook in your ears when you’re in tears within the first chapter.

I finished ‘Heartstrong’ recently and can hand on heart say it’s one of my favourite audiobooks I’ve listened to so far.

Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin put Australian Snowboarding on the map. He was a natural on the snow, in the water and everywhere in between.

I still remember sending a message to my husband when it was announced he had sadly passed. It came as a complete shock and it was pain felt by so many, particularly by Ellidy, his family and his friends.

Narrated by Ellidy and Chris (Chumpy’s dad), you could feel every ounce of emotion from the two.

We heard Chris share stories of Chumpy growing up, the tight knit family they were and how he became the professional athlete he was so well known for.

We hear Ellidy talk about Chumpy - the love of her life - and the man who ultimately became the father of the most gorgeous little girl months after he passed!

I loved hearing all about their beautiful relationship, and my heart broke listening to the additional heartache Ellidy has faced since. But her positivity and ability to move forward in life is so inspiring.

This book is raw, emotional, enlightening and so so real. I absolutely adored listening to this (was high on the TBR for a while!).
