this was just what I needed. I'm a complete mood reader and thisbeqs just what I wanted. a mm romance that had some angst but also romance and spice. the performance was brilliant from both narrators

This was so good, best hockey romance I’ve read/listened to in ages and the narrators were perfection.

This was my first read by the author & I was completely sucked in. Both narrator's did such an incredible job.I loved Jack & Mercy! This pairing made me giddy with how they were together. Mercy had me in a chokehold with how he loved his family, I just wanted him to have a break & not have to be everyone's rock. The abandonment issues stuck a cord with me, which made me love him even more. Jack took me alot longer to really warm up to. He felt hot & cold alot of the story, but everyone can relate to not wanting to let your first real love & comfort go. The amount of times i laughed throughout this book & the spice- holy smokes, it was amazing! I really wanted to hate Rhett, but i couldn't. I actually felt a little sorry for him, even though he did seem like a bit of a pompous arse. The epilogue from Mercy- omg, it had me choked up.I can't wait to dive into more of this series.

HeartBreak Hockey is an absolute scorcher of a listen. From the very first chapter it had me hooked and refusing to press pause. Mock knows how to write bratty characters better than anyone, and Mercy and Jack are pure chaos wrapped in charm. They argue, they push, they play, and every moment is electric.. I was already obsessed with them on the page, but hearing them come alive in audio is next level.

Joe as Mercy and Zachary as Jack is pure magic. They don’t just read the words they make it feel like you’re right there in the middle of the story. The banter, the tension, the heat it all hits harder and somehow keeps getting better every single chapter.

The spice is wild, the sass is nonstop, and the emotions sneak up and punch you in the chest when you least expect it. It’s fun and it’s filthy.

And then chapter 9 happened. I thought I was prepared. I was not. That scene ended me, revived me, and then ended me all over again. I’ve replayed it more times than I care to admit and it still makes my brain short-circuit.

This audiobook is chaos, heat, and heart all rolled into one and I loved every single second. Five stars because ten isn’t an option.
