About this listen
Welcome to Green River.
Five families on an annual camping trip, a mothers' group of fourteen years, children starting to look like adults, a father with his own mysterious agenda . . .
He Would Never is a searing page-turner about the bonds we forge in the furnace of early motherhood, the trust we place in other adults, and the chaos that erupts when one man refuses to play by the rules.
Praise for He Would Never

"Mothers Unfiltered: A Raw and Honest Journey Through the Struggles of life as parents"
I absolutely loved this book for its large and diverse cast of characters—it made the story feel rich and dynamic. The story was unapologetically real, raw, and unfiltered—no sugarcoating here! The author masterfully captures the complexities of motherhood, showing women navigating the overwhelming challenges of becoming mothers, managing relationships with partners, and juggling the intricacies of friendships, co-parenting, and the ever changing relationships as their children grow up and begin to need them less.
This book doesn’t shy away from the messiness of life and relationships, offering a raw, relatable narratives that will resonate with many who has ever been a mother—or witnessed the journey. The women in these pages aren’t perfect, but they’re incredibly relatable and deeply human, making for a captivating and heartfelt read.

Great storyline
Like Wainwrights novel The Couple Upstairs, this narrative is told through nonlinear storytelling to unfold this plot line in a thrilling and intriguing way.
The reading performance was excellent however,
I think I will go back and relisten to this audiobook at some point. As it was a complex storyline with multiple characters, I did at some points lose track of whose perspective was being told.
If you like Wainwright’s other books or enjoy the likes of Sally Hepworths stories, no doubt you will love this book.

Wonderful
Wonderfully written. Although the story and background of the characters was complex, it was written in a way that flowed beautifully. I enjoyed the audio, each character had their own ‘voice’.

Such a great book
I loved this book so much. These strong, wonderful women and their children wove their magic. The story went to places that I couldn’t have imagined when I started listening to it. It was funny, heartbreaking and unputdownable.
