I was excited to listen to this book but was sadly disappointed.
The story seemed good but unfortunately the narrator was so bland that is was impossible to listen to the whole book.

Keyes (Key) Dixon has been around the Disciples of Havoc Motorcycle Club his whole life, thanks to his abusive father. Now a full member, Key runs a car mechanic business, which run a lot more smoothly without his father’s interference. Key is confused and frustrated when there’s a federal raid on the premises that upends the business—it seems like the law is trying to put the (mostly) legal Club behind bars. ADA Alec Pierce isn’t directly involved in the club investigation, but he’s familiar with the details. That doesn’t stop him from pursuing Key for a one night stand after Key helps him out. The two alpha men are proud and the growing relationship between them hits more than a few bumps. More concerning is the risk of being found out by either the Club or the DA’s office.

I really liked this opposites-attract / motorcycle-club / law-and-order romance. There is a poignant tone to this I wasn’t expecting. Key and Alec both have fathers they’d rather have nothing to do with: Key’s father is hateful and violent, making Key’s life miserable; Alec’s father is the anti-gay Speaker of the House who uses Alec as a way of courting some of the liberal vote, while continually berating him for being gay. The story has the potential to be very gripping, but this book concentrates on the forming relationship and ends on a HFN—the action continues in Order (book 2). 🎧 I also really liked voice actor Kayden Lukakis’s performance on the audio. He has a slower voice that suits Key and Alec and he projected the emotion well.
