Publisher's Summary

Ha'ven Ha'darra is the Crown Prince of the Curizans, an advanced species known for their technology. They may not have the power to shift like the Valdier or the Sarafin, but they have hidden powers of their own that they closely guard. Not even his best friends, Creon Reykill of the Valdier or Vox d'Rojah of the Sarafin, are aware of the powers he holds within his deadly frame.

Ha'ven is happy to help out his Valdier friend when he calls. There are only two things that satisfy the restlessness inside him - a good fight and an even better evening with a hot, willing female. He has no desire to settle down like his two friends have. He enjoys having his freedom and the wide sample of females at his disposal.

All of that changes when he catches a glimpse of the delicate beauty who looks through him as if he doesn't even exist. His blood calls to her, his magic aches to meld with hers, but she blocks his every advance.

Emma Watson's life was perfect. Her love for music and dance let her escape the overwhelming shyness that she suffered from all her life. When she is invited to travel with a group to South America, she believes it is the perfect chance to discover who she can really be. Everything changes when she is kidnapped by a powerful drug lord. Beaten and forced to watch the torture and murder of other women, she withdraws into the world she feels safest - the one inside herself.

When she is rescued by creatures not of this world, they heal her physical wounds, but cannot touch the ones deep inside her. She has given up on ever returning to her world and has little hope for the future. No woman has ever turned Ha'ven Ha'darra down and he isn't about to accept his mate doing it. Now, he just has a few extra problems to overcome. Her Valdier protectors have given him six months to change her mind about wanting to return to them. Can he unlock her magic in time to save their love or will the traitor, determined to kill them, destroy her before he can?

Great story

I really enjoyed the story. The narrator was different from the other books and took a while to get used to but was good after that. I’d really like an abridged version without the intimate scenes.

***Emma And HA'ven***

I was a bit surprised to hear that David Brenin is not the one narrating this book, but all good P.J. Ochlan us amazing in his narrative. I am looking forward to arrow's story.

Disappointed

I was so looking forward to Harvens adventure because of the interactions he has in all the serafin and valdier books but instead, I was very disappointed because of the narrator. The reading felt lacking and I often tried to imagine David Brenin speaking so I could try to enjoy the book.

First time by this narrator who was okay.

First time by this narrator who was okay but not my favourite. Audible narration was okay with the male voices but I found the female voices seemed too whiny and Emma was just pathetically unempowered. I could understand at the beginning due to her circumstances but she never strengthened at all. BOOK REVIEW Whilst this still has loads of action in the fight against the traitors, I come back to read this when I want a mellower story. Haven is a Curizan prince and is used to women throwing themselves at him but is determined to stay single and not end up addled like his friends have become. That is until he sets eyes on the human woman Emma who calls to his power like no other. When Emma refuses to have anything to do with him, he doesn’t know what to do and flounders a bit until he sort of kidnaps Emma. What Emma went through on earth was horrendous but she always seems like a calm oasis even when she is having a meltdown. There is just something about these two that I love, they are a perfect blend together.

Was good (looking forward to Bk 2)... But...

Story line was good.
Narrator was interesting - made the girls seem a little whiney though.
Characters seemed like fun people. Will enjoy reading their books.
I really did enjoy this book and will be heading for number 2 :)
I thought the end was a little sappy and the writer prattled on a bit with the sappy lovey lovey romantic crap.
The "I love yous" after 2 weeks had me yelling "WHY!!!" to my ipod. - Biggest pet hate.
and if i heard "Dancing on the clouds" one more sodding time i was going to throw something.
But in saying all that...
I am going to be getting book 2
I've listened to this a number of times now, and everything is slowly growing on me.. apart from the "dancing on the clouds".
