Good book, great series. I really liked the character growth. I read this because of John Lane, but both narrators were good.

The way Avery read Stella's chapters was very staccato. It made following along quite difficult.
It was worse in the beginning, but improved towards the end. Otherwise, I loved the storyline.

Not sure if it's the storyline and the FMC narrator but I cringed through most of the first 4 chapters and I won’t continue doing that for the next 7hrs.

John Lane was a saving grace, which made me wonder if it's the writing style.
