A beautiful tale that seemed to be stitched with old fashioned folk lore and soul (or half). To me it felt very Howls Moving Castle coded. The two main characters had that witty, begrudging connection which felt very similar to Howl and Sophie.
I liked that it seemed to stay on track and the storyline didn’t seem to stray into unnecessary directions. Would recommend for a sweet and simple story line with magical elements. A pleasure to listen to and the performance was good.

I completely enjoyed this book - the characters, the narrator - I didn't want it to end! really reminds me of the Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries series

when I picked this one I wasn't entirely sure whether it would be any good or not, but I ended up really loving it. kind of austen-ish with some magic thrown in. surprisingly romantic & very addictive to listen to.
