About this listen
Come for an emotional ride in this stand-alone romance by New York Times best-selling author J. Sterling. With Sterling’s laugh-out-loud banter and a trio of brothers you’ll fall for, this realistic story is a must-listen.
I’ve seen Frank Fisher before, but he’s never seen me. He definitely saw me tonight. And I know I wasn’t the only one who felt the world shift the moment our eyes connected from across the bar.
But Frank isn’t like his brothers. He’s quiet, elusive, and keeps to himself. It makes him mysterious, but that’s not why I’m drawn to him. It’s something else. Something I’ve never experienced before, as cliche as that may sound.
I want to be around him. Get to know him better. Explore what’s growing between us, but Frank keeps holding back and I have no idea why. Good thing I’m a persistent woman who doesn’t scare off easily.
Right?
I guess we’ll see.
The Fisher Brothers is a series of stand-alone novels that can be sipped one at a time, or binged in order. Each book is named after one of the drinks at their popular bar!

The second book of Fisher Brothers

The female character was somehow both devoid of personality and annoyingly uptight at the same time. I can't help but think the terrible narration (particularly the female) made me dislike her more.
The female narrator was terrible and should honestly consider a different career path. There was no flow to the way she read, pausing mid sentence constantly despite no punctuation and the voice she did of the flatmate made me want to rip my ears off.
The whole story could have been summarised into novella length rather than the constant repetition of thoughts and conversations causing it to go on for over 7 hours.
I'm keen to continue on to Ryan's story however because I want to see how the author writes a playboy manwhore who is also uber romantic and 'thinks like a chick.'
Hopefully I'm not disappointed again!
Very disappointing!
