In the future...only the strong survive....

New London - a city of wondrous technology, where cyborgs and androids reign, and the fate of many is decided by bloody PvP. But this violent metropolis may also hold the secret to the true location of Citadel, and Reece and his friends are running out of time to save their home.

With Gilly and Becky now saved from the Labyrinth, Reece turns his attention to the original mission of saving Citadel. But in order to discover it, they’ll need to leave the fantasy realm of Nasgar and cross the wild to explore a harsh and futuristic dystopia in hopes of accessing the archives that may lead them to their home. But as they face powerful enemies, a blood-thirsty AI and challenges like never before, a dark secret from Rembrandt’s past threatens to bring it all undone.

But before even that, Reece will need to face his own demons from the past, and an arch nemesis who still stands in his way.

Join Reece as he uncovers more mysteries within the Crystal Shards and confronts the strange new enemy that threatens both it and his home. In order to defeat them, he’ll need to unlock even more powers within the game world and grow into the man and leader that his team needs him to become.

Warning: Contains RPG mechanics, detailed party combat, and giant boss fights. If these things do not interest you, then this is not the audiobook for you!

Amazing sequel

This series is still among the best I've listened to. While there are still some annoying moments of listing stats, loot, and damage that are already known or unimportant and can be glossed over, it appears far less often than the previous books. I'm in love with the story and it's progression, and I look forward to the 5th of the series. Thank you Eric Summerer for a brilliant narration.

Good book

This is a great book. I love it and the entire series. The only complaint is that it is a mob not a moob. As in “flash mob”. My inner English teacher cringed every time you he pronounced it wrong.

Entertaining enough

We visit a new setting and city in this installment. By this book the are no surprises, you know the authors style. It's the same formula as before. The MC isn't quite as Mickey Mouse as previous books, maybe only 78% as childish. If you can get over the forced goody-goody nature of the characters it's an entertaining enough story. I listen while driving to work and have paid attention to most of the story in this series. After several hundred audio books, I would say that counts for something. Better than average.

Home Run

Gun Blade is the best book in the series so far, and much better than books 2 & 3. The plot lines and characters all advance nicely, as does the writing of the Author, Rick Scott. Very impressed with the improvements made in the story and characters. This is turning into quite a series, with more to come.

So good

I have been waiting for this and it was amazing. We're getting closer to the climax and I just can't wait to see them all max out there stats and run roughshod over those stupid enough to stand in the way of saving Citadel. Overall, great story progress, great fight scenes, still a bit repeaty on some of the stats and messages but nowhere like before. I am overall loving this series and can't wait for the next book which I know is still a ways off.

Brilliant mate!

I think this series is amazing! Sometimes a little "young adult" feels, but I rank this up there among the truly great ones.

Great story, just wish they would pronounce M.O.B right. Wonder if the narrator ever played a mmo before

Continuously unfair....

The main character is young, cocky and really annoying because that's his complete character who's blessed with last minute luck. This book seems like it was 2 or 3 small but grand adventures put together which is a great thing. Just when you think it over and time for a break..... It draws you into more conflict I hope the cocky attitude drops and he learns to matter his powers while they continue to build and explain the world. -Troy

Just amazing

Carrying on from where the last book ended, this book doesn't hold anything back, the story just gets better and the addition of guns and vehicles doesn't feel like a change but rather an extension of what is already there. Character progression is fantastic and that ending just keeps me wanting more.

Once again the struggles faced by Reece is nothing short of incredible, battling with LM's the others and surviving New London. this latest instalment is just as gripping as the rest, it's got it all, action, adventure, love, sadness and happiness. The narration is superb as would be expected. The whole serise so is brilliant. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

main character isn't as smart as the author thinks

Good book continues story well. it wraps up some parts of the story and introduces more story seamlessly.
