these books are very underrated, I've read them all. Just don't take it seriously and you'll be fine. A little sexist but that's the times. It's older than True Blood and better.

I own and love this whole series but the company and reader doing these audio books are awesome, they add ambience music and sound effects at key points that just make it pop and give me the same suspense I had reading the original books.

Not too sure about the music effects in this, but otherwise a good listen, love the crime noir style and honesty of Anita Blake. Though not sure I will be able to listen to the later series in public without blushing. Hehehehe
