Den danske forfatter Poul Larsen (f. 1940) er oprindeligt uddannet kontorassistent og efterfølgende folkeskolelærer - et job, som han bestred i 30 år, før han for alvor vendt sin opmærksomhed mod forfattergerningen. Poul Larsen fik sin litterære debut i 1972 med digtsamlingen "Bare Digte" og har levet af at skrive siden 1995, hvor han stoppede som folkeskolelærer.
