‘I CACKLED ALOUD on practically every page. Comic gold, tinged with such tenderness.’ – Kiran Millwood Hargrave

Laugh your head off with this fully-illustrated new series from award-winning Nadia Shireen. Perfect for readers age 7 to 107, fans of Dog Man, Roald Dahl, Mr Gum and David Walliams, and anyone who loves to laugh.

Fox cub siblings Ted and Nancy are on the run from Princess Buttons, the scariest street cat in the Big City. They flee for Grimwood, expecting to find refuge in the peaceful countryside. Instead, they are met with thieving eagles, dramatic ducks, riotous rabbits and a whole host of unusual characters. Grimwood is . . . weird. But when Princess Buttons tracks them down, Nancy and Ted and the animals of Grimwood must unite in a mind-bending race against time . . .

This memorable, distinctive and warm-hearted comedy series will have kids begging to read more.

This book is all over the place, and I mean that in the best way possible.
The fact it begins with Ted and Nancy in the city to Ted becoming a star in a play seems like it'd be a huge tonal shift. But Nadia manages to throw in this craziness without losing track of the main plot.
The book is filled with unforgettable characters from our heroes Ted and Nancy, the evil Princess Buttons and the animals that inhabit Grimwood.
Adam Buxton helps brings these characters to life with his wonderful narration and voices, which is evidence from his years of voice acting work particularly in his old show "The Adam and Joe Show", especially during their puppet parodies.

The book has a lot of funny moment's you'd want to read/listen too over and over again. The audiobook even managed to do an amazing fourth wall break. As I was reading along with my copy of Grimwood while listening to Adam's narration, on page 169 Eric Dynamite informs us that it's not trouble around the corner but it's him as he pokes out from the corner of the page. Adam as Eric says in the audiobook that since sound has no corner the listener has to imagine a sound corner for him to pop out from. This gave me such a great laugh I really wasn't expecting it.

I defiantly recommend this story, pick up a copy of the book if you can and listen to the audiobook along with it. That way you'll find why Ted, Nancy and I love the animals and story of the woods simple called Grimwood.
