Really wish it was a duet narration so they made the best use of both narrators. Really didn't enjoy the female narrators version of MMC's/Vad's voice. I guessed the big reveal very early on in the story which was disappointing. Overall an interesting and enjoyable story.

I had to keep turning the pages. The gothic, witchy vibes we’re definitely up my alley. The tabøø, the tension! So passionate and consuming. The details, the delicious way everything was written, I could see it all playing out in my head so perfectly. Vad! Wow! He’s the teacher I didn’t know I needed in my life! Arghh I loved it all. Check TW’s but loved it!

Ohhh the mystery and intrigue in this is so addictive!

This was my fave read of 2022. So I decided to listen to it in my day to day on audible. I am so glad that I read it first because the performance in this, is so cringe, I would have hated the book if I just had had Audible the first time.
Scarletts portrayal of Vad is just baffling, why does he sound like that? Is this how you imagine your tall, dark and handsome men sounding? And the orgasms she puts on during the read 😳.

I still love this book, the story and the romance but I unfortunately won't be listening to the audible again. Which is a shame because I usually love to listen to my faves on repeat.

I love academia romance, but this one has a twist. Mental health representation and a suspenseful back story that will have you on the edge of your seat. So enjoyable

Took a while for me to get into this. But then ended up really enjoying it. Even more so on a re read.

As much as I agree with the other reviewers regarding narrator and it needed to be a duet read. Which I thought it was when I seen who was narrating the book, both great voices but shouldn’t do the other sex’s voice… but it wasn’t worth giving this book anything less then 5 stars because it was such a great story I couldn’t stop listening, This was the best thing I’ve read since haunting Adeline and the forth wing. And it got me out of my book slump. It’s a must read !!!

I'm so not done with this story. If I could give this book 10, I would. It's easily in my top five reads of the year. I could not put it down, and I devoured it in a day. The story and enigmatic characters were engrossing.

This is the second time I’m listening to this and I just love it so much! I think the voice actors did a great job but I wasn’t in love with the females voice for the MMC - was a bit much. Otherwise it was great!
