About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

The latest novel in the smash-hit Plated Prisoners by Sunday Times bestselling author Raven Kennedy

'Find me in another life. Find me in them all'

It all ends now. . .

But Every end is also a beginning.

I was supposed to die. If it weren’t for Slade, I would have. But he tore a hole the world I know and I went through it. To Annwyn. To home.

Annwyn is the realm of the fae, a magical place full of beauty and danger.

Here, I am known as Lyäri Ulvêre – the golden one gone. And there are people in this world who want to keep me that way.

But I am not that girl in the gilded cage anymore, and I won’t be used again. Nor stopped on my way back to Slade.

I am my own woman. And I will find him. In this world, or the next.

Critic Reviews

This series is the gift that keeps on giving. Gold is an immaculate continuation of the Plated Prisoner series, full of breathtaking twists and heart-wrenching revelations. Raven’s writing never fails to transcend the page, puppeteering each word into a motion picture in my mind. The only problem is I NEVER want to leave.
So much beauty … So much growth … So much chest-battering pain … I wish I could read it for the first time all over again.

An emotional rollercoaster of a book that brings vivid and layered characters into a magical realm. The world building and pace is intricate and fast, this is a book you will race through
The angst. The heartbreak. The trauma. Slade's descent into his true villain era is everything. The combination of exquisite writing, magical characters, and an epic plot makes Plated Prisoner is my go-to romantasy recommendation for everyone I talk to, and Raven does it again with Gold.
Gold is more than just a story of our beloved gold touched girl but a story of survival, determination and love that transcends worlds. A must read for anyone who loves a villain who will stop at nothing for the one he loves and a woman who will show the world nothing can break her.
Praise for The Plated Prisoner Series
This series has stolen my heart, my breath, my regard for anything else. I've never been so immersed in a story before-never read characters that have felt so real. I've cried, laughed, screamed, thrown my kindle across the room, picked it up again, swooned . . . These characters, this WORLD . . . it's everything. Raven has written a story for the ages, destined to go down as one of the epics

This is one of those series that started off phenomenal, and only gets better with every subsequent book.
Get ready to be enthralled from the first word, and begging for more by the last. Raven Kennedy crafts an astonishing world that's filled with captivating characters and a story you won't be able to put down
This series is amazing and I can't recommend it enough. It is one of the best New Adult Fantasy books out there.

I read book 1 & 2 and loved it. 3&4 I found hard to get through I was going to dnf it. Decided to stick it out and get Gold on Audible instead of reading it. The narrator for Slade was great. Had a great voice and didn’t sound like he was trying too hard to be extra like some I’ve listened to. I did not like the female narrator on the other hand. Was too whiny and bratty sounding which did not suit Auren at all. Was perfect for Malina as she is a brat character but wished for someone else as Auren.
The story did get better from the last two books though still very slow. I don’t find myself very attached to the characters though which is why it was just ok for me.

It was ok

Auren’s story is somewhat sidelined and frustrating. Feels like an in between book while you’re waiting for the real story to pick back up. Female narrator was very disappointing.

Sort of…bland

Loved it! Cannot wait for the next book! Preferred Slade’s perspective as move interesting but Queen Melina’s I was very invested in her journey.

Loved it!

High fantasy, split POVs (not just FMC and MMC, but other characters as well). Decent twists and complications in the storyline for characters to overcome, but I'm just not very invested. I'm not the biggest fan of dual narration - much prefer duet, but was swayed to continue listening to the series... Not sure I'll bother buying the final book... I'll just wait for it to be free in my library.

Dual narration is hard to get into

You’d think by book five that the FMC would at least be strong. It actually annoys me that she’s still weak and waiting on a male, and isn’t stronger. I put off reading this series after listening to the first book because the narrator’s voice sounded so bad. But by book 5 and because I need to know how things end is the only reason I’m here. Don’t get the hype. I hope the next book is better.

I’m over hearing how sad the FMC is
