A teenage girl is found murdered, encased in glass.

The family story

Mystery and treasure hunt at the same time.
A little difficult at times determining who was speaking.
I wanted to know what came next!

I found a slight discomfort hearing the detective's name is 'Dove' (first name). it somehow sounds weak for a protagonist.
Then, the introduction of her sister as 'Wren' (= both birds) was another surprise.
Added to that, most of the characters were sporting creative first names, which was the final insult to the story. I found it hard to lose myself in the plot given these distractions. At this stage I won't hurry to buy into this particular series.
it's a shame really as the story has a decent enough plot.

Keeps you guessing! Lots of twists and turns? Good characters, and a great narrator! Definitely worth adding to your library.
