Publisher's Summary

Constance Kopp doesn't quite fit the mould. She towers over most men, has no interest in marriage or domestic affairs, and has been isolated from the world by a family secret.

When a ruthless factory owner runs down their buggy, a dispute over damages turns into a war as he unleashes his gang. The sheriff enlists her help, and it turns out that Constance has a knack for outwitting the criminal element which might just lead her onto a new path in life.

Critic Reviews

" Girl Waits with Gun is fresh, funny and utterly compelling - and Constance Kopp and her sisters are not just great investigators, but completely original women." ( The Guardian)

A joy!

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book.
Great story, characters leaping off the page at me and a narrator of outstanding skill!
Can’t wait to start the next in the series.

slow but satisfying

well narrated, this is a slow but satisfying start to a series. reminds me of the Molly Murphy series by Rhys bowen.
